RCB vs LSG IPL 2023: Amit Mishra, LSG’s veteran spinner, has accomplished a remarkable milestone in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has surpassed the previous record set by Lasith Malinga, the former pacer of Mumbai Indians (MI), and now holds the title of the third-highest wicket-taker in the league’s history.

Mishra surpasses Malinga in the list

In the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Mishra’s skillful bowling led to the dismissal of Suyash Prabhudessai, propelling him to surpass Lasith Malinga’s previous record of 170 wickets in the IPL. With this wicket, Mishra’s total wicket count in the league now stands at an impressive 171, securing his position as the third-highest wicket-taker in the history of the IPL.

After successfully dismissing Prabhudessai for just 6 runs, Amit Mishra has climbed up the leaderboard of the leading wicket-takers in the league. Currently, only Yuzvendra Chahal and Lasith Malinga stand ahead of him. Considering Mishra’s impressive performance, there is a possibility that he could create history and claim the top spot on the list.

With an impressive tally of 183 wickets, Dwayne Bravo currently holds the top position as the leading wicket-taker in the IPL. Following closely behind him are two talented leg spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Amit Mishra. Lasith Malinga and Piyush Chawla also feature prominently on this list of accomplished bowlers.
