Rishabh Pant: Star batsman shifted to private ward, DDCA Director Shyam Sharma reveals his current condition

Rishabh Pant: According to Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Director Shyam Sharma, India's star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant "is doing well and has been relocated to a private room due to concern of infection." Speaking to media, Sharma said, "Due to fear of infection, we have told his family and hospital administration to shift him to a private suite. He is doing better and will recover soon.”

Uttarakhand Government offers help for Rishabh Pant

The state government would offer all assistance for the 25-year-treatment old's after he was gravely hurt in a car accident on his way to surprise his mother on December 30 in Roorkee, according to an announcement made on Sunday by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Pant claimed that he tried to avoid a pothole and actually got into a car accident. The cricketer has a ligament tear in his right knee, two wounds on his forehead, injuries to his right wrist, ankle, toe, and back, according to a statement released by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) in collaboration with the Max Hospital Dehradun, where his treatment is underway.

DDCA Director Shyam Sharma asks for no VIP movement

On Saturday, Rishabh Pant, a cricket player, was receiving treatment, and Sharma expressed concern about people swarming the hospital to see him. Sharma stated, “Those who are going to meet Pant should avoid, as there are chances of infection. There should be no VIP movement to meet Pant, and people visiting him should avoid it as there are chances of infection for Pant.”

Pant was injured in a near-fatal accident on Friday, but he managed to escape with burns and other wounds that required plastic surgery. If necessary, Pant could have been airlifted to Delhi. He was involved in an accident on his way back from Delhi to Roorkee when his automobile hit a divider near Hammadpur Jhal on the Narsan boundary of Roorkee.
