Roger Federer never seriously considered retiring from competitive tennis for more than a year, but admitted that he was disappointed before the second right knee operation. Federer, who arrived to take part in the Qatar Open, said that I was disappointed.
The Swiss maestro will make his return at this week’s Qatar Open. "He was very happy to be back playing a tournament again," Federer told reporters on Sunday.
"For now it's about 'I see how matches go, expected see how training goes'," he said.
"I know I need to go back to training after here again so from this standpoint it's just about building up to being stronger, better, fitter, faster."
