Rohit Sharma: At the MA Chidambaram Stadium in 2021's first Test match against England, star Team India batsman Rohit Sharma was spotted mimicking veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh's bowling. With their then-captain Joe Root's double century, the visitors had a solid hold on the game. But, the star opener gave everyone a delightful moment with his amusing bowling action.
On the second day, Indian bowlers were having a difficult time taking wickets and were becoming fatigued after extended stints, which prompted captain Virat Kohli to ask Rohit to bowl a few overs so the regular bowlers could take a break. Not to forget that in 2009, when playing for the Deccan Chargers against the Mumbai Indians, Rohit achieved a hat-trick in the IPL.
In order to give his usual bowler a respite after a long day of work, Virat Kohli gave the ball to Rohit Sharma just before the end of the first interval. Initially using his customary round-arm motion, Rohit switched to Harbhajan Singh's bowling motion for the final ball before the umpires signalled for tea. Just like the seasoned off-spinner, he sprang to begin the run-up and opened his arms.
Netizens were amused by seeing this clip of hitman sharma. Many also mentioned in the comments section that even Virat Kohli did this kind of action and how accurate are both of these in mimicking Harbhajan Singh. Though, India lost the match by 227 runs, they eventually won the series by 3-1.
