RR clinches victory with thrilling chase

Coming to chase a low total, LSG did not have an ideal start in the game either. Openers played significant knock but their strike rate proved to be a difficulty. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 44 in 35 balls while Jos Buttler smashed 40 runs off 41 balls. Their inning was a bit slow as the run rate continued to climb up.

Skipper Sanju Samson couldn’t do much crucial as well as he was dismissed for a score of 2 runs in 4 balls. Shimron Hetymer scored 2 off 5 balls. There was a semi-collapse in batting as they went from 85/0 to 104/4 which further increased problems for the team as they were already reeling with the slow run rate. However, Devdutt Padikkal scored 26 in 21 balls & Riyan Parag scored 15* in 12 balls, failing to take the team across the victory line. Avesh Khan picked a three-wicket haul while Marcus Stoinis grabbed a couple of wickets and won the match.
