Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy have tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time. The duo are currently in Thailand to take part in the mega Thailand Open which began on Tuesday.
“Saina and Prannoy tested positive for COVID-19 during a test conducted on Monday. They will stay in quarantine for 10 days in a Bangkok hospital. Kashyap too will have to head to the hospital as he is close contact,” a source in the Badminton Association of India (BAI) said.
As of now the trio of Saina Nehwal, H S Prannoy, and Parupalli Kashyap are out of the tournament and they might come back to India after testing negative.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Indian team have been allowed to participate in the tournament as they test negative.
