India wins the third and final ODI against England by 7 runs. Indian team batted first and put up a massive target of 330 runs in front of the visitors. Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya have scored respective fifty-plus scores and in the end, Shardul Thakur played a good cameo for the team.
Talking about the second innings Indian bowlers were on top of the English batsmen right from the start of their innings but at the same time, they failed to control the run-rate. Towards the end, Sam Curran stood as a one-man army for the team and scored 96 runs and he was not out. Shardul Thakur was brilliant with the ball as he picked up four wickets at crucial times.
Sam Curran led the batting attack in such a way that at a point when it was clear picture that India is gonna win, Curran brought his team into the game and in the last two overs only 19 runs were required.
India won the series by 2-1 and also they got a clean sweep by winning all three formats. Talking about the positives from the series India got Hardik Pandya as a complete all-rounder as he has started contributing with both bat and bowl with the same energy on the field. They got KL Rahul back in form as he was the leading run-scorer in the ODI series for India. Rishabh Pant has also made a good comeback after he got a chance to play in the middle order. Rishabh scored 77 runs in the second match and 78 runs in the final game.
