Shardul Thakur: One of India’s most talented cricketers, Shardul Thakur, is making headlines right now but this time it is not at all related to the game. He is in the news as he is all set to get married to Mittali Parulkar, his girlfriend. The couple, who did engagement ceremony last year, will reportedly get married on February 27 of the following year. As per sources, KL Rahul too will reportedely get married in the January of 2023.
The couple got engaged last year in a private ceremony
On November 29, 2021, they had a private ceremony to become engaged at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) venue in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Some family members and other relatives came to bless the newlyweds attended the event. Through their official social media accounts, a lot of cricketers wished the couple a happy and great life.
The bride-to-be reportedly gave confirmation of the news. The pre-wedding festivities will commence on February 25, according to Mittali Parulkar, the founder of a baking firm. With family and friends present, the wedding will take place in Karjat, a suburb of Mumbai.

Parulkar said, “I have butterflies in my stomach. His schedule is packed; he is playing until February 24 and will only be able to join by February 25. So, I have taken charge. We are expecting almost 200 to 250 guests at the wedding; it’s going to be too hectic.”
Continuing further, she added, “Initially, we wanted to have a destination wedding in Goa, but given the logistics and so many people involved, it would have been extremely difficulty.”
The upcoming bride further said that the wedding would be conducted in Maharashtrian fashion. Parulkar continued by saying she would design and prepare her own wedding cake. She said, “I’m currently finalising the designers. I’m certain that I will wear a nauvari saree for the main ceremony; for the rest, we are figuring it out. We are yet to lock in the final look.”
Shardul Thakur last played in the ODI match against Bangladesh on 10th of December. He took three wickets in the match and is currently not a part of the test squad. He played his last test on 1st of July in 2022 against England.
