No male spectator was allowed in the matches

The organizers had stated that headscarves were a requirement for female medalists, but the podium dress code was not explicitly mentioned. Sources said, “The prospectus talked about the clothing rules in the Badminton World federation’s competition regulations, which is mostly common in tournaments around the world. While we knew headscarves were a must when women stepped out in Tehran, there was no particular mention about their use during the tournament.”

It should be mentioned that throughout the games, ladies shuttlers did not experience these limitations. Furthermore, no male spectators were permitted to witness the women’s bouts at the competition. Tanya currently trains at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy. She is 19 year old and hails from Karnataka.
