However, now his selfless act from the match versus Sri Lanka has taken all the headlines as he refused to take credit for Sadeera’s wicket which was picked by Kuldeep Yadav.

KL Rahul’s impactful performance followed his century against Pakistan. He came to the crease with India struggling at 91 for 3 on a challenging Colombo pitch. Rahul then played a crucial role, contributing to a valuable 63-run partnership alongside Ishan Kishan before being dismissed for 39. He emerged as India’s second-highest run-scorer in that game.
In addition to his exceptional performances, KL Rahul has proved himself to fans with a heartwarming gesture towards Kuldeep Yadav. His comments about Kuldeep have garnered widespread praise. Following the match, commentator Sanjay Manjrekar inquired about KL Rahul’s involvement in the dismissal of Sadeera Samarawickrama.
Moments before successfully stumping the Sri Lankan batter, KL Rahul was seen offering some valuable advice to Kuldeep Yadav, which yielded immediate results. However, he humbly declined to take credit for the dismissal, stating: “I am not gonna take any credit for the wicket that he’s taken. He still has to execute the skill. When you are behind the stumps, you have a good idea as to what the batter is doing and I just passed on the message, luckily it worked for Kuldeep.”

In the match, Team India posted a total of 213 runs before losing all their wickets. Spinner Wellalage secured a five-wicket haul, accounting for the entire top order, while Asalanka also claimed four wickets. In reply, the Indian bowlers performed admirably, restricting the home team to 172 runs and ultimately securing a 41-run victory.
