Anand Mahindra: The Chairman and Managing Director of India’s Mahindra Company, Anand Mahindra commended the gold medal-winning athlete, Tajinderpal Toor, of the Asian Games 2023 with a ‘motivating’ tweet. He shared a video on social media, showing Tajinderpal Singh Toor’s remarkable shot put victory on the 8th day of the Asian Games.
Tajinderpal Secures Gold in Asian Games 2023
Tajinderpal Singh Toor, India’s eighth participant, clinched a gold medal in the Asian Games for shot put. Despite fouling in his first two attempts, he managed a throw of 19.51 meters in the third, followed by an impressive 20.06 meters in the fourth. Although his fifth attempt was another foul, his final throw of 20.36 meters secured the coveted gold medal.
Sharing the video of Tajinder Toor’s winning moments, Anand Mahindra said, “Start the week like this… give your best ‘shot’. Don’t worry about a weak start. Your last effort may be your best and gold is waiting for you. #mondaymotivation.” The tweet became viral instantly, amassing over 150k views and more than 6k likes.
India has accumulated a total of 55 medals in the current tally, comprising 13 gold, 21 silver, and 21 bronze. With India’s cricket match next in Asian Games 2023 against Nepal, the Men in Blue are anticipated to bring another gold medal as well.
