Carlos Alcaraz gave stern warning to all his opponents including Novak Djokovic ahead of the semi finals round of US Open 2023.

US Open 2023: Carlos Alcaraz has been on a roll since the start of the final Grand Slam of the year. He is the defending US Open champion and is playing like one and has won every round with ease so far.

He won the quarter final in straight sets and became the first player since Novak Djokovic to qualify for three consecutive Grand Slam semi finals at the age of 21. And he has a message or rather a warning for all his opponents going forward.

The Spanish star is on a tied score with Djokovic with both players winning 2 matches each out of total four. With both of them qualifying for semi finals, another clash between them seems imminent.

The pair has faced each other in the last three tournament finals they have played in. They faced each other in French Open, Wimbledon 2023 and Cincinatti Open 2023 finals. With the Serbian leading the race of the year with 2-1.

Everyone Will Suffer

The defending champion stated that Even though I’m only 20 years old I feel a little bit experienced in these types of situations. Which means there are many moments which I take with much more calmness than maybe before.”

“And I can play calmer knowing that if people want to beat me. They’re going to have to suffer, run a lot, and play a very, very high level for a long time. Physically I feel good, mentally quite good and tennis-wise I think I am playing at a high level. So in these situations I feel calmer.”

High Octane US Open 2023 Finals

If both Alcaraz and Djokovic qualifies for the final, the match will be more than just the final Grand Slam. The Serbian has won 2 Grand Slams this year while Alcaraz has won one. If the 21-year old can win, he can tie the score with 2-2 and take lead in their Head to Head matches. The number 1 ranking is also there to be taken away with the winner becoming the new number 1 player.
