Vijay Hazare Trophy: Shardul’s sensational innings put Mumbai on top

Just before the IPL, Chennai Super Kings fast bowler and currently playing for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Shardul Thakur hit the headlines with his terrific innings.

Shardul Thakur scored an impressive 57-ball 92 in the Elite Group D match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and led his team to victory.

Shardul Thakur scored 92 runs with the help of six fours and six sixes in 57 balls. Apart from this, Suryakumar Yadav scored 91 with the help of 15 fours in 75 balls and Aditya Tare scored 83 runs in 98 balls with the help of six fours and a six. Mumbai scored 321 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs.

Himachal team collapsed on 121 runs

Chasing the target, Himachal Pradesh’s innings collapsed for 121 runs in 24.1 overs. Mumbai won the game by 200 runs and they are still on the top spot in Group D with 20 points. For Himachal Pradesh, Mayank Dagar scored the most unbeaten 38 runs in 20 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes.

Talking about the bowling then from Mumbai, Prashant Solanki took four wickets, Shams Mulani took three wickets, Dhawal Kulkarni took two wickets and Mohit Awasthi took one wicket. From Himachal Pradesh, captain Rishi Dhawan took four wickets, Pankaj Jaiswal took three wickets, Vaibhav Arora took one wicket and Mayank also took one wicket.
