Viral IPL Video: There have been several fights in cricket and particularly in IPL as well where things got a little too heated. One such moment is from the inaugural season of the tournament which took the cricketing world by storm. The star players of the Indian cricket team, Harbhajan and Sreesanth were involved in a heated exchange and all of a sudden Bhajji slapped the latter in the stadium. After a probe from BCCI, Harbhajan was even banned from playing in the rest of the season.
Harbhajan slaps Sreesanth
On 25th April 2008, after Kings XI Punjab’s victory against Mumbai Indians at Mohali, Harbhajan Singh, the in-stand captain of Mumbai, was involved in an unfortunate incident with Sreesanth. Harbhajan allegedly slapped Sreesanth under his eye, which was caught by TV cameras. Sreesanth was seen sobbing inconsolably on the field before the presentation ceremony. However, the video of the incident is not available anywhere now.
The incident happened after Harbhajan’s team lost their third consecutive match and Sreesanth approached him, reportedly saying “hard luck”. Although Sreesanth downplayed the incident and said that he had no complaints against Harbhajan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) launched an investigation and decided to ban Harbhajan for the remainder 11 matches of the Twenty20 tournament.
It’s worth noting that the footage of the incident has not been released for public viewing. Only the videos of Sreesanth crying are available in the public domain while no other video is currently present on the internet.

14 years later, Harbhajan admitted that he should not have slapped him and shown a better sportsman spirit. It was even later revealed by Sreesanth that both of them had dinner together in that night when the incident happened as everything quickly got resolved soon between both of them.
