Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli is known for his power-hitting once he gets settled on the pitch. THe top batsman for India was in rough patches earlier this year but had a remarkable return since the brief break he took before the Asia Cup. He has hammared two international century since then in both 20-over and 50-over format. However, there’s a video of him which is currently going viral on social media in which he can be seen hitting a six against Bumrah. To amuse you more, the video is from red-ball cricket and not IPL.

Virat Kohli hits off a sleeky six against Bumrah

The incident is from the India vs Leicestershire, where Kohli was playing for India while Bumrah was doing so for the latter. Despite being out of form during that time, Virat was seen playing very much valiantly. Jasprit Bumrah eventually took the flamboyant batter’s wicket after he scored 67 runs off 98 balls. Fans were drawn in by Bumrah’s treatment of the pacer, despite the fact that he did dismiss Kohli.

Kohli hit Bumrah with a magnificent upper-cut during the third delivery of the 55th over, and the ball soared over the off-side boundary for a six! Because of how magnificent the shot was, Leicestershire’s official social media account praised the Indian batter on Twitter.

Fans praised the shot, with one user writing, “It appeared to be sliced, but the king’s shot went all the way for a six. Just Virat Kohli things.”

The match eventually got drawn. While team India scored 264/8 d, Leicester could score 244. In response, India posted 364/9 d in their second innings. However, the latter could manage to score 219/4 in the fourth innings and the match eventually ended in draw.
