Virat Kohli gives death stare to Hardik Pandya

However, Pandya received a death stare from Kohli on Tuesday (January 10) while the first ODI match against Sri Lanka was taking place since Pandya didn’t seem interested in going for a second run.

In the 43rd over, Kohli struck a Kasun Rajitha delivery behind square and to the onside, which led to the incident. The instant he smacked the ball and shortly after finishing the first run, Kohli appeared eager to take the second one. When Kohli came back to finish the second run, Hardik told him to return before he could finish.

Hardik experienced a death stare because Kohli disapproved of his decision. On the other hand, Hardik just looked down and did not do eye-contact with the former skipper. After playing well on Tuesday, Kohli scored 113 runs in the first ODI, giving him his 45th ODI century.

Kohli played a magnificent 113 run knock which powered India to a humungous total. During post-inning, he remarked “I helped the team get 20 runs extra, rather than 350. It’s going to be the same thing. Someone will have to score a 150, or 140 to chase this down. But it also gives our bowlers a chance to bowl with dew coming into play. I am quite aware of what I eat, diet is the most important thing at this age. That keeps me in prime shape. That helps me give my 100 percent for the team.”
