Virat Kohli: The second day of the second Test match between India and Australia was a thrilling affair as both teams matched each other with equal aggression. Initially, Australia seemed to be dominating, but Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja’s partnership of 59 runs put a halt to their momentum and added to India’s scorecard. However, a video of Virat Kohli’s funny reaction to food is hogging up all the headlines.

Unfortunately, Jadeja was dismissed by Todd Murphy, and soon after, Kohli was also dismissed, which sparked a debate as to whether it was a fair decision, given how close the ball was to both his pad and the bat for the LBW dismissal. Kohli seemed visibly frustrated and discussed the decision for a long time after returning to the dressing room.

During the conversation with head coach Rahul Dravid, an official approached Kohli with packaged food, and he clapped his hands once in excitement before seemingly asking the official to keep it inside for the moment. It’s unclear what the dish was, but many on social media speculated that it was chole bhature, which Kohli has previously stated is his favourite dish.

Kohli scored 44 off 84 balls on Day 2, and his partnership with Jadeja helped India recover from a difficult situation, with a score of 66/4 while chasing Australia’s first innings total of 263. The partnership breathed life back into the hosts’ innings, but it was the partnership between Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin, who put pressure back on Australia with a 114-run stand for the eighth wicket off just 177 balls.

This partnership reduced Australia’s lead to one run before the Indians were all out. However, the visitors ended the day on a high note with Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne ensuring that they reach a score of 61/1 in just 12 overs at stumps.
