Virat Kohli pleased with Natarajan’s performance, eyes him for T20I World Cup

Team India captain Virat Kohli is very impressed with T Natarajan’s ability. He has been identified with good bowling in Australia under pressure conditions.

Now it can be said that Natarajan has made his place in the planning of the T20 World Cup to be held next year. Australian veteran Glenn McGrath has said that he is definitely searching for this tour to India.

Kohli said after the match on Tuesday, ‘I would like to make a special mention of Natarajan. In the absence of (Mohammed) Shami and Jaspreet (Bumrah), he played a good responsibility and bowled brilliantly under pressure conditions. “It is unmatched because he is playing in his opening matches at the international level. He looks very patient, humble and hard working player. He knows what he is doing. ‘ India has to host the T20 World Cup in October-November next year. Kohli said, ‘I am confident that he will continue to work hard on his game and become a better bowler as the left-arm fast bowler is important for any team. If he continues to bowl in this way, it will be a very good thing for us before the next World Cup.

T Natarajan made it to the tour of Australia thanks to his great performance in IPL 2020. He threw the most yorkers in the tournament played in the UAE and took a total of 16 wickets while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He was selected in the T20 squad for the tour of Australia, but was later included in the ODI team as a back-up to Navdeep Saini.

Actually, Kolkata Knight Riders leg-spinner Varun Chakraborty dropped out of the T20 series before the tour due to a shoulder injury. In his place, Natarajan was included in the T20 team.
