Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the most beloved cricketers globally, and everyone wants to catch a glimpse of him. In the recently concluded third IND vs WI ODI match, he wasn't initially part of the playing team but later came in as a substitute. This decision was made as Kohli and the captain, Rohit Sharma, were given some rest, allowing younger players to gain experience before the upcoming ODI World Cup. A viral video is now getting immensely popular on social media, showing Kohli fielding during the West Indies innings.

Virat Kohli takes on the field
In the 18th over of West Indies' chase in the third ODI, people noticed Kohli fielding on the ground. Interestingly, this was the second consecutive ODI in the series where Kohli joined the match despite not being part of the original playing team. Ishan Kishan later revealed that he came out due to fans' demand.
In the previous match (second ODI), Kohli took on the role of a waterboy during the break and provided drinks to his teammates. He was joined by Yuzvendra Chahal, who, unfortunately, didn't get a chance to play in the series. Both Kohli and Rohit are expected to return for the 2023 Asia Cup. After the second ODI, head coach Rahul Dravid stated that India would continue providing opportunities to young players, indicating a commitment to nurturing new talent within the team.

Hardik Pandya speaks on Rohit - Virat
During the post-match presentation, skipper Hardik Pandya said "Virat and Rohit are integral parts of the team. But it was important to rest them so that people like Ruturaj Gaikwad could get a chance. It was about giving opportunities to youngsters. I took it deep intentionally, wanted to have some time out in the middle. Had a great chat with Virat before the game, he wanted me to spend some time out in the middle and get used to the 50-over format."
India secured a convincing victory by 200 runs. Shardul Thakur showcased an impressive performance, taking four wickets, while Mukesh Kumar contributed with three wickets. The West Indies team faced a challenging task while chasing India's total of 352 runs. They struggled throughout the innings, losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 151 runs. With this triumph, India clinched the series 2-1.
