Akram accues Malik of treating him like a 'servant'
Ever since his autobiography, "Sultan: A Memoir," was published, Akram has grabbed the headlines. In the book, he discussed many controversial aspects of his personal life and made some terrible accusations about Malik.
The veteran claimed that he was treated like a "servant" and that Malik asked Akram to give him a massage in addition to making him clean the latter's clothes and shoes.
Wasim in his book wrote, "He would take advantage of my junior status. He was negative, selfish and treated me like a servant. He demanded I massage him, he ordered me to clean his clothes and boots.” Continuing further, he said “I was angry when some of the younger team members in Ramiz, Tahir, Mohsin, Shoaib Mohammad invited me to nightclubs."

Saleem Malik responds to the accustations
Malik responded by saying, “I was trying to call him but he did not answer. I will ask him what was the reason for writing what he did. If I was narrow minded, I would not have given him the chance to bowl. I will ask him why he wrote such remarks about me."
Between 1992 to 1995, Akram was Malik's captain, and rumours suggested that the two weren't friendly. But Malik denied the claims, saying that Akram only wrote them to advertise his book.
