“White-ball cricket is a power game”: Prasidh Krishna after match-winning spell

India (237) won their first series under full-time captain Rohit Sharma as the home team beat West Indies (193) by 44 runs in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After being sent to bat first, skipper Rohit Sharma walked in to open along with wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant who generally bats in the middle-order.

Prasidh Krishna was the pick of Indian bowlers with his figures of 4/12 in 9 overs, Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets while Siraj, Thakur, Sundar and Hooda scalped one.

“I have been striving hard to do this for a long time. So, I am very happy that we won. I was still looking to hit the good areas. When I came in to bat, I knew it was still seaming. I would have laughed it off (If someone would have told him he would finish with the figures he ended with today). I had seen the wicket in the last game. Experimenting wasn’t possible as there was not much to defend. So, I stuck to good lines. I want to be as consistent as possible. The white ball cricket is a power game,” said Prasidh Krishna at post-match presentation.
