Priya Malik Wins Gold Medal At World Cadet Wrestling C’ships

Indian wrestler Priya Malik has just made the country proud at an International level after she managed to win gold at the World Wrestling Championship that was held in Hungary. won a gold medal at World Wrestling. The Haryana wrestler finished in the 73kg women’s category.

Priya won the gold medal in the World Cadet Wrestling Championship by defeating the Belarus wrestler 5-0.

Priya Malik has won gold medal in Khelo India in Pune in 2019, gold medal in 17th School Games in Delhi in 2019 and gold medal in National Cadet Championship in Patna in 2020. She also won gold in the National School Games held in the year 2020.

The news of a woman bringing glory to the country comes just a day after Mirabai Chanu won silver yesterday at the Toky Olympics 2020.

Meanwhile, sports and youth affairs minister of Haryana and former captain of Indian Hockey team Sandeep Singh congratulated Priya Malik for winning the gold medal.

Meanwhile, Model-actor Milind Soman got trolled on Sunday after tweeting a congratulatory message to Indian wrestler Priya Malik, assuming she had won gold at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

Commenting on his post, netizens trolled him for sharing incorrect information and requested him to delete the tweet.

“Sir it’s world wrestling championship and not Olympic… It is held in Hungary…fyi,” wrote a user.
