Women’s Asia Cup 2022: India won the toss, opts to bat first; Will the team continue their winning streak?

Women’s Asia Cup 2022: India Women’s team has won the toss and opted to bat first in their third game of Asia Cup against UAE. The match is being played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh. Smriti Mandhana is the captain of India for today’s match after Harmanpreet Kaur was given rest. Shafali Verma, Radha Yadav and Meghna Singh are not playing in today’s match as well.

India’s World Cup journey so far

With two victories in as many games during the Asia Cup, India Women have been unstoppable. They are ranked second in the points table with four points. India defeated Sri Lanka in their opening match by successfully defending a total of 150 runs in 20 overs. The hitters took the lead early against Malaysia Women in their second game by scoring 181 runs. India triumphed by 30 runs thanks to the DLS system after Malaysia scored 16 runs in 5.2 overs while chasing the total.
