Wriddhiman Saha’s Remarkable Cricketing Career
Saha, known for his sharp wicketkeeping and consistent batting, has played 141 First-Class matches, scoring 7,169 runs at an impressive average of 48.68. His record includes 14 centuries and 44 fifties, making him one of Bengal’s finest cricketers.
On the international stage, Saha represented India in 40 Test matches, amassing 1,353 runs at an average of 29.41. He also played nine ODIs, showcasing his versatility. His last international appearance was in December 2021 against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium.
A Key Player in the IPL
Saha has been a vital part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception in 2008. He has played for multiple franchises, including Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans. He was part of Gujarat Titans’ title-winning squad in 2022 and is best remembered for his brilliant century in the 2014 IPL final.
