WWE: It is never a quiet day in the wrestling business. Every day we get something new and exciting. And this is nothing different, as significant news is coming out of WWE from various sources about The Rock’s Summerslam 2023 return.
With recent antics of Grayson Waller targeting the Rock, it was predicted that the ten-time WWE World Champion would return for the biggest party of the summer. Otherwise, why would WWE let Waller target The Rock that much?
On the other hand, we got another major update regarding the injuries of Rey Mysterio and Liv Morgan. The Lucha legend suffered a concussion on the Friday Night Smackdown episode, and everyone was scared of a concussion.
The Rock Return
According to Dave Meltzer, the World Wrestling Federation is quiet on Rock at Summerslam. The speculations are still there, and many fans and experts have predicted the same, but the company has no official comment.
There was also speculation that The Rock would challenge Roman Reigns for the head position of the Anoa’i family. But with Jey USO facing him, those plans might have to wait a while now.
Major WWE Injury Updates
Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Rey Mysterio is fine despite the botched spot and has not suffered a concussion. The 619 specialist was left dizzy in the ring after the final place in his match against Santos Escobar.
On the other hand, there is still no timeframe for when Liv Morgan can return. The injury angle done on RAW was a cover-up, as Liv Morgan needed surgery because of an underlying injury. And she might need a long time before returning to her best. The surgery can be lengthy, and so can the recovery period.
