Youngster Tyagi in highlights after hitting Pukowski with a bouncer

Australian batsman Will Pukowski, who was on the threshold of his debut in Test cricket against India, received a bouncer from Karthik Tyagi at the helm during the practice match against India-A.

Pukowski was playing for 23 runs, when Tyagi’s bouncer hit him in the 13th over. Team doctor John Orchard told Cricket.com.au, ‘Will has mild symptoms of concussion, but he himself went off the ground without any help.’
He said, ‘He was taken care of in our medical room. He was comfortable talking to the staff, teammates and family over the phone. He will be with the Australia-A team, but will not play another practice match.

Pukowski left the bat as soon as he was hurt and sat on his knees for a few minutes. The medical team reached immediately. He has been a victim of concussion injury earlier in his career.
