According to Dhanda, these admissions clearly indicate that corruption in Goa is no longer an opposition narrative but an internal acknowledgment within the ruling party itself.
The controversy escalated further after a senior BJP leader from Goa admitted on a national television debate that ‘hafta culture’ has become an epidemic. The remark, aired during a live debate, has triggered sharp political reactions and intensified scrutiny of the BJP government’s functioning in the coastal state.
Anurag Dhanda said that the people of Goa are now openly demanding a clean, transparent and honest government, accusing the BJP of betraying public trust. He asserted that repeated corruption allegations from within the BJP reflect administrative collapse and a failure to uphold ethical governance.
“The BJP cannot hide behind slogans when its own leaders are exposing corruption on public platforms,” Dhanda said, adding that accountability must begin from within the ruling establishment.
