Bengaluru Deliveryman Thrashed Over 8-Year-Old’s False Complaint

A case of beating of a food delivery boy has come to light from Bengaluru. An 8-year-old girl had complained about the delivery agent trying to kidnap her and forcibly taking her to the terrace. After this, there was a stir in the society and the delivery agent was beaten up by the people around along with the girl’s parents. However, when the reality came to the fore, everyone was shocked.

The incident took place on Monday at the apartment in Electronic City, Bangalore. A couple was searching for their missing child. After a long time, an 8-year-old girl was found on the roof of the society. The girl told her parents that a food delivery agent had taken her upstairs. The girl told that in order to avoid the food delivery agent, she bit her hand with a tooth and saved her life.

The girl’s parents informed their neighbors and security guards and locked the gate of the apartment.

Meanwhile, the girl pointed towards a delivery agent who was in the campus itself. The residents of the apartment and the guard beat him up and called the police.

Truth revealed in CCTV footage

Police said they rushed inside and checked the CCTV camera footage of their neighbour, which revealed that the girl had gone to the terrace alone and later lied to her parents and the police. The parents told the police that they had gone to drop another child from the school bus and did not find their daughter after returning. He said that he found the girl on the terrace after 30 minutes and the girl told him that it was the delivery agent who took her there.

At the same time, the victim delivery agent said, ‘I am now on sick leave. I have pain in my shoulders. I have a child too, so I understand the concern of the parents, but don’t know why the girl made such allegations. He said ‘I am leaving the city soon and going back to Assam for personal reasons’. Ravi Kiran, the manager of the delivery agent, said, “I got a call at 12 noon and immediately reached the spot. He said that the victim did not suffer much injury, she has an ailing mother and hence had already planned to go to Assam.’
