Bihar SIR Viral News: After Dog Babu Residency Certificate, Now Donald Trump Follows Suit, Gets ‘Praman Patr’

During Bihar’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, bizarre cases of fake residence certificates have emerged, including one issued to a dog named ‘Dog Babu’ and a recent fraudulent application using former U.S. President Donald Trump’s identity.

During Bihar’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, strange and fake residence certificate applications keep coming up. The latest shocking case includes none other than former U.S. President Donald Trump. This is because of the widely reported case of a dog named “Dog Babu” in Patna getting a residence permit, which showed major problems with the state’s online public service system.

Dog Babu Residency Certificate: A Bihar Dog Citizen

Bihar and the rest of India were shocked by the strange case of “Dog Babu.” A title of residence was publicly given to a golden retriever named Dog Babu in the Masaurhi circle of the Patna district in July 2025. The dog’s parents were named on the certificate as “Kutta Babu” and “Kutiya Devi,” and it had a picture of them and the digital signature of a tax officer. This news quickly spread like wildfire on social media, making officials feel embarrassed and worried. Once the mistake was found, the certificate was revoked right away.

An FIR was made against the applicant, the computer operator, and the officer who issued the document. This showed that Bihar’s Right to Public Service (RTPS) system has major problems with how it checks applicants. Investigators found signs that Aadhaar documents relating to a real person were misused. This suggests that large amounts of data were changed, and there were problems with administration.

Now, in a similarly strange turn of events, a fake application for a residence license has been found in the Mohiuddinnagar block of Samastipur district. It is signed by Donald Trump. The online application, which was submitted on July 29, 2025, had fake Aadhaar numbers, a barcode, and other personal information that linked to the former president’s name. It also listed an address in Hasanpur village. The August 4 application was quickly turned down by the Circle Officer, and the case has been sent to the cyber police for a full probe under the IT Act. Through digital traces like IP addresses, the people who made this fake are being tracked down.

As this case plays out, similar strange fake applications have been made using the names of mythological characters, like Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, or even lifeless things, like a tractor. These fake records show that Bihar’s RTPS system verification isn’t working as well as it should, and they make it clear that cybersecurity needs to be fixed right away.

More General Effects and the Official Response

From Dog Babu’s fake residency certificate to Donald Trump’s fake application, these events show that Bihar’s online government service platforms were deeply flawed during the Special Intensive Revision that was meant to clean the voting rolls. They have started heated debates on social media about the reliability of digital government systems and have pushed officials to pay more attention and make verification processes better.

Officials have promised harsh punishments for all those responsible and are working to improve security to stop such obvious scams from happening again. These events show how hard it is for Bihar to run technology-based public services when there are more cyber threats and careless management, especially during important political processes like updating voter lists.

The Bihar government quickly cancelled fake certificates and FIR registrations to send a strong message that this kind of fraud will not be accepted. This is happening while the state deals with the difficult task of cleaning up its huge voting databases.

This ongoing story of silly and fake residence permits is a warning about what can go wrong with a digital government that doesn’t have strong checks and balances in place.
