CM Gehlot to present Rajasthan Budget now on Feb 10 instead of February 8

Rajasthan budget: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will now present the state budget on February 10. This will be the last budget of the present government as the state is expected to go to the polls by the end of 2023. Gehlot will reply to the Budget debate on February 16.

The chief mister had earlier announced the presentation of the Budget on February 8. However, the date was changed at the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Legislative Assembly.

The Business Advisory Committee has decided that agenda of the house will be allotted from February 10 to 16. There would be holidays at the Legislative Assembly from February 3 to 9.

The decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairman Dr CP Joshi.

Gehlot to brief media

Chief minister Ashok Gehlot after presenting the budget on February 10, will brief the media too. Leaders of the ruling party as well as the opposition will give their reactions to the budget at a press conference.

The House will not meet on February 11 and 12. It will reconvene for a debate on the Budget on February 13-15. The government will reply to the debate on February 16, according to the report. Gehlot, who also holds the finance portfolio, has said several times that the upcoming Budget would focus on the youth and the women.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will present the state’s Budget for 2023-24 on February 10, according to the Business Advisory Committee of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly report.

This will be the fifth and final Budget of Gehlot’s current tenure.
