Dehradun News: Woman Robbed of over 1.42 lakhs on the Pretext of Job, Police complaint filed

Dehradun News: Woman was cheated and robbed of over 1.42 lakh rupees on the pretext of giving a job. The woman received a message on her whatsapp about a job in youtube through which you can earn handsome amount of money. The woman replied to the message and started conversation with the accused. She was briefed about performing some tasks and was told that she will be paid depending on the task . Woman agreed to the terms and conditions and accepted the job offer. She was also asked to subscribe to the Youtube channel.

Woman was added in Telegram Group

She was later added in a Telegram group and given cash to perform some tasks by the accused. She was first given 9200 Rs and was asked to complete the task one by one and after sometime the accused asked her to deposit money on the pretext of performing more tasks. The woman realized something fishy after she deposited money from her account and she was removed from the group after sometime.

Victim Registers Complaint with Cyber Cell

She registered her complaint with the cyber cell and the narrated her ordeal. Her case has been registered and officials have launched probe.

Always Remember these things

-Do not get lured by any kind of offer

– Do not get misled by an unknown person by talking to him on call

– Deposit money in any bank account only after a thorough check

– Make Strong password of Facebook, Twitter ID. Do not keep them simple

– If someone demands money, check first

– Bank employees never ask for information over the phone.
