In a significant move toward strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure in the national capital, 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs were inaugurated across Delhi on Saturday. One of these centers was inaugurated at the Delhi Secretariat by Rekha Gupta, the newly appointed Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), marking a major step in making healthcare services more affordable and accessible to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Gupta stated,
“The Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Delhi Secretariat will ensure that all government employees working here receive quality health services at minimal cost. This is a step toward creating a healthier and more productive work environment.”

The Ayushman Arogya Mandirs aim to provide cost-effective consultation, diagnostic facilities, and affordable medicines under one roof. These centers, spread across various constituencies of Delhi, are equipped to cater to the needs of the common citizens who often struggle with rising healthcare expenses.
Officials informed that these health centers are part of a wider initiative under the Ayushman Bharat program, aiming to enhance public access to preventive and curative services within walking distance. With 33 centers going live simultaneously, the Delhi government seeks to reduce dependency on overburdened hospitals and promote neighborhood-level wellness hubs.
These centers are expected to benefit thousands of people daily and mark a significant leap toward universal health coverage in Delhi.
