In a meaningful step toward justice and rehabilitation, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Government Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa handed over appointment letters to individuals affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The event was held to honour the resilience of the victims and provide them with long-overdue opportunities for employment and stability.

Minister Sirsa echoed the sentiment

Minister Sirsa echoed the sentiment, adding that the distribution of government jobs to riot victims was a long-pending demand. He also acknowledged the emotional scars the community continues to carry and assured that the Delhi government stands firmly with them.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the gesture offered them hope and recognition after decades of neglect. Many shared that this move would not only help their families financially but also give them a renewed sense of identity and purpose.

Officials noted that this initiative is part of a larger rehabilitation policy aimed at addressing historical injustices and ensuring that survivors and their families are given fair opportunities for employment, education, and welfare.
