Speaking at the event, CM Rekha Gupta said the move reflects the government's commitment to restoring dignity, inclusion, and justice to those who suffered unspeakable losses during the tragic events of 1984. “This is not just a job offer; it is a step toward rebuilding lives and offering a sense of belonging in society,” she said.

Minister Sirsa echoed the sentiment

Minister Sirsa echoed the sentiment, adding that the distribution of government jobs to riot victims was a long-pending demand. He also acknowledged the emotional scars the community continues to carry and assured that the Delhi government stands firmly with them.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the gesture offered them hope and recognition after decades of neglect. Many shared that this move would not only help their families financially but also give them a renewed sense of identity and purpose.

Officials noted that this initiative is part of a larger rehabilitation policy aimed at addressing historical injustices and ensuring that survivors and their families are given fair opportunities for employment, education, and welfare.

The Delhi government plans to continue similar outreach and support measures for other affected communities, reinforcing its focus on inclusive governance and healing through action.
