Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has reaffirmed her government's commitment to fulfilling all manifesto promises, including the ₹2,500 monthly allowance for women and subsidized LPG cylinders.

Speaking on Tuesday, CM Gupta stated, “I will visit slum areas, meet families and sisters, and understand their expectations from this government. Discussions will also be held with youths and professionals from different sectors.”

She emphasized that the upcoming Delhi budget will reflect the aspirations of the people, ensuring the implementation of all pledged welfare schemes. In a veiled attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Gupta remarked, “Nobody has to remind us about our agenda. We will carry forward our vision, not theirs.”

Focus on Women’s Welfare and Economic Support

CM Gupta’s statement underscores a strong focus on women’s empowerment and financial assistance for families in need. The proposed ₹2,500 monthly assistance for women aims to provide financial security, particularly for those in lower-income groups.

Additionally, the government’s LPG subsidy scheme intends to reduce the financial burden on households struggling with rising fuel prices. These initiatives align with the BJP-led administration’s broader vision of inclusive economic development and welfare-driven governance.

Engaging with Youth and Professionals

Apart from welfare schemes, Gupta highlighted the importance of engaging with the youth and working professionals to address their economic and employment concerns. She assured that sector-specific policies would be designed to cater to their needs and contribute to Delhi’s growth.

Political Undercurrents and Future Roadmap

Gupta’s remarks also indicate a strategic shift in Delhi’s governance, with the new administration seeking to establish its own identity while moving away from the policies of the previous government. The focus on direct engagement with citizens signals a grassroots approach to policymaking.

With the Delhi budget set to be unveiled soon, all eyes are on the implementation roadmap of these ambitious schemes.
