The Delhi government, committed to public service, good governance, and transparency, has approved the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, fulfilling its promises made in the election manifesto. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting, reinforcing the government's commitment to healthcare access and women’s empowerment in the national capital.

Government Committed to Public Welfare, Good Governance & Transparency

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Delhi shared the update on social media, highlighting the initiatives aimed at public welfare and sustainable urban development. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a centrally sponsored health insurance scheme, provides financial protection to economically weaker sections for medical treatment. Its implementation in Delhi is expected to benefit thousands of residents by ensuring free healthcare services at government and empaneled private hospitals.

Additionally, the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, approved in the same meeting, is designed to empower women financially, fostering economic independence and self-sufficiency. While detailed guidelines on its implementation are yet to be released, the initiative is expected to provide financial aid, skill development opportunities, and entrepreneurship support for women in Delhi.

Apart from social welfare measures, the Delhi government is also prioritizing environmental sustainability, focusing on cleaning the Yamuna River and beautifying Delhi. The administration has reaffirmed its dedication to transforming Delhi into a cleaner and more developed city, aligning with its long-term vision of sustainable urban governance.

The government's proactive steps indicate its commitment to holistic development, ensuring that both social welfare and environmental concerns are addressed simultaneously. As part of its ongoing efforts, the authorities are expected to announce further measures to improve healthcare access, enhance women's financial security, and strengthen environmental conservation initiatives in the coming months.
