Speaking on the occasion, Gupta described the initiative as “a transformative step that will bring lasting change to hundreds of households.” She emphasized that this clean energy shift will replace smoky kitchens with hygienic cooking environments and free families from the burden and uncertainty of LPG cylinder usage.

Gupta described the initiative as “a transformative step...''

“Every time a mother cooks without smoke or an elderly person uses gas without lifting heavy cylinders, this service will realize its true purpose,” Gupta said, adding that the government's goal is to reach the last mile and improve every life.

The launch of PNG in these areas is expected to boost not just health and safety, but also the confidence of residents in the ongoing development efforts of the administration.

The rollout of PNG connections is also expected to reduce indoor air pollution, a major health concern in low-income urban households. With round-the-clock availability and cost-effectiveness, piped gas will particularly benefit women and elderly residents, making daily chores easier and safer. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of sustainable urban living and inclusive infrastructure development.
