“Access to clean drinking water is a basic right of every citizen,” Gupta said, adding, “Our government is fully committed to ensuring that every household in Delhi has access to safe and sufficient drinking water.”

With the laying of this new pipeline, residents in these localities can now expect more consistent and improved water supply. The project is part of a broader infrastructure push under the slogan, “Jal Sankat Ka Samadhan, Viksit Dilli Ka Nirman” (Resolving Water Crisis, Building a Developed Delhi).

Officials from the Delhi Jal Board and local representatives were also present during the inauguration ceremony. The project is expected to not only enhance quality of life but also reduce residents’ dependence on water tankers and private sources.
