The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced an elevated extension of the Golden Line to address the growing travel needs of South Delhi. The new corridor will run from Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj, significantly improving connectivity for areas located along the Yamuna riverfront.
3.9-Km Elevated Corridor With Three Stations
The upcoming stretch will cover a total length of 3.9 kilometres and feature three elevated stations. Designed to ease daily commuting, the corridor will connect key locations including Tughlakabad, Madanpur Khadar, and Kalindi Kunj, with operational linkage to the Sarita Vihar Depot. The project is being executed with modern metro infrastructure standards, with Bombardier involved in the rolling stock and system support.
