Delhi News: The government of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has claimed that bureaucrats have declined to carry out the One Time Settlement Scheme, which was put in place to address anomalies in water bills. According to Dr. Sandeep Pathak, General Secretary of the Party's Organisation, bureaucrats are delaying the implementation of the scheme because of meddling and pressure from the Central Government. However, the Aam Aadmi Party is planning to organise protests around Delhi on this issue.
Civic Centre Assembly
In order to address concerns about the project, the Aam Aadmi Party arranged a significant gathering on Sunday at the Civic Centre. Ministers, MLAs, council members, and other officials from the Delhi government attended. Dr. Sandeep Pathak stated during the meeting that the Delhi elected government has previously been stopped from carrying out tasks linked to the public interest.
Numerous projects were halted even earlier. Bureaucracy has prevented this idea from being implemented, but we will mobilise Delhi's populace and stage protests throughout the city. We shall not, under any circumstances, permit injustice to the people. Even if we have to get to the Supreme Court by road.
Rising Water Bill Crisis
Gopal Rai, a state convenor and government minister in Delhi, stated that the issue of rising water bills is becoming more prominent in the city. People everywhere I go inform me about this issue. We wish to rectify the incorrect water bills that residents of Delhi have received, but the plan is being blocked from being carried out because of a plot.
Through the personnel of Delhi Jal Board, attempts are being made to block the government of Delhi. Today, the people are being forced to accept incorrect invoices by forcing the government to halt. Individuals are receiving water bills in the lakhs, but the BJP wants people to pay the incorrect amounts.
Praising a Beneficial Water Program
Minister Atishi stated, "This is a really good programme, which will help the Water Board financially and solve the issue of rising bills for the public, but the Centre does not want the public's problems to be resolved. Authorities The One Time Settlement Scheme was discontinued by the BJP as a result, and about 10 lakh Delhi water metre users are currently facing incorrect bills. They are visiting offices to discuss their expenses. We desire a proper solution to their issue. The right disposal is in place. In light of this, we presented the plan, but the officers now object to its implementation."
