Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), the operator of Delhi airport, is contemplating imposing increased charges on airlines for grounded aircraft. DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar stated that the proposal is to implement higher charges for airlines grounding aircraft for an extended period, disrupting the operations of other carriers. The decision is expected to be part of the next traffic review scheduled for early next year. Currently, as of November 17, 64 planes from various airlines, including IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India, are grounded at Delhi airport.
