Delhi News: On Tuesday, August 25, Delhi-NCR witnessed yet another bout of heavy showers, which is part of the monsoon rains disrupting normal activity in the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain, with moderate showers predicted to occur at many places in Delhi. There may be chances of heavy to extremely heavy showers in isolated places along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Heavy rain leaves several Delhi roads waterlogged
The most recent period of rainfall has caused disruption in several main roads and junctions in the city. Waterlogging occurred in places such as AIIMS, ITO, Connaught Place, Parliament Street, RK Puram, and Ferozeshah Road. Several cars could be seen passing through these waterlogged stretches, thereby causing traffic problems. Some low-lying areas also suffered disruption because of accumulation of rainwater on roads. The heavy rainfall came in the wake of heavy rainfall on Monday that caused disruption in the form of waterlogging and traffic jams in Delhi-NCR. The weather situation also brought problems for air travelers, as fifteen flights destined for Delhi were diverted from the capital city.
Flight operations face weather-related disruptions
Heavy rain and thunderstorms disrupted flights from Delhi on Monday, with several Delhi-bound flights diverted. Delhi Airport later said operations were normal but advised passengers to check with their airlines for updates.
IMD issues fresh rain warning for Delhi
The IMD has forecast more rain across Delhi, with heavy to extremely heavy showers possible in isolated areas. Gurugram and Faridabad are also under a yellow alert, while Gurugram authorities have advised work-from-home arrangements due to waterlogging and traffic concerns.
Delhi-NCR residents asked to remain cautious
Delhi News: With more rain expected, commuters should check weather and traffic updates and avoid waterlogged roads. Air passengers are advised to confirm flight status before travelling to the airport.
