The initiative is being jointly organised by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and the Delhi Traffic Police to reduce the backlog of traffic-related cases and provide citizens an opportunity for quick and affordable resolution.

According to officials, only compoundable traffic challans that were forwarded to virtual courts up to November 30, 2025, will be taken up for hearing during the Lok Adalat. From Monday onwards, notices and challan details can be downloaded from the official Delhi Traffic Police website, allowing vehicle owners to prepare in advance.

The Lok Adalat will be conducted at the following courts:

  • Patiala House Court
  • Karkardooma Court
  • Tis Hazari Court
  • Saket Court
  • Rohini Court
  • Dwarka Court
  • Rouse Avenue Court

Legal experts said that Lok Adalats offer a simplified and amicable platform where disputes are resolved through mutual settlement, often with reduced penalties and no prolonged legal proceedings. Once a case is settled in Lok Adalat, the decision is final and binding, with no further appeal.

Authorities have urged eligible vehicle owners to take advantage of this opportunity to clear pending traffic challans, avoid additional fines, and ensure compliance with traffic laws. The initiative is expected to significantly ease the burden on courts while offering quick justice and financial relief to thousands of commuters in Delhi.
