When the female constables signalled for Nawal Kishore Pandey to halt, he was crossing the road on his bicycle. According to reports, he has been a teacher for 40 years and was returning from school. He was trying to cross the road when he got imbalanced and fell. However, he soon got up and started moving. The police then tried to stop him but he continued at his pace, seeing this, the police got angered and started to thrash him.
Although the man attempts to defend himself in the video, the woman constables did not show any mercy. He begged them to let him go, but the two ladies kept hitting him and yelling at him. The senior citizen later remarked that "I am an English teacher at DPS Parmalpur. I was stopped by two lady constables when I was crossing the road with my bicycle. They stopped me but I ignored it and moved on."

He continued further and said, "One of the constables came in front of the bicycle and the other one stood behind my bicycle and lathi-charged me. I asked them to stop but they did not listen. More than 20 rounds of batons were showered on me. They stopped only after a man intervened. I was so ashamed that I did not lodge any complaint in the police station. Due to their beating, my legs and hands were swollen. I want justice."
