Delhi Dehradun Expressway: Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the long-awaited Delhi-Dehradun Motorway. This is a big step forward for India’s infrastructure. The road has cut the time it takes to get from Delhi to Dehradun from more than six hours to about two and a half hours (150 minutes). This step makes travel faster and easier.
Information about the route and how to get there
The highway goes through important places like Baghpat, Shamli, and Saharanpur before ending in Dehradun. It starts close to the Akshardham temple. It’s about 210 kilometres long. The new road would make it easier for pilgrims and tourists to get there because it cuts the old 250 km trip in half and connects to Haridwar and the Char Dham highway.

Creative touches and smart design
People all over the world know about the highway’s modern design. It is a six-lane highway with limited access that could grow to eight lanes. The maximum speed is 100 km/h. It has 113 underpasses, five railway overbridges, sixteen places to get on and off, and a lot of other bridges to keep traffic moving smoothly.
One of the most interesting things about Rajaji National Park is the wildlife corridor that is 14 kilometres high. It was built to keep the environment in balance and keep animals safe.
Costs of building infrastructure and projects
The project cost more than ₹12,000 crore to build and has modern features like bus stops, rest areas, and better safety infrastructure. The goal of these improvements is to make roads safer and make travel better for everyone.
Everything You Need to Boost Travel and the Economy
The route is expected to help trade, tourism, and economic growth in all of northern India. Better links between Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will help businesses in the area, lower transportation costs, and make it easier for people to get to important places.
