Atiq Ahmed: Following the Saturday night shooting deaths of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother by three men, prohibitive orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) have been put in place in all of Uttar Pradesh's districts. While they were being taken for medical examinations, Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf were shot to death. They were murdered in public view, and the crimes were documented by journalists' cameras.

The Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been dispatched in adjacent regions, and the Prayagraj district, where the incident occurred, is on high alert.

- Three shooters killed Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf on Saturday night.
- The three gave up and were taken into custody right away. They are currently being held in custody.
- According to Prayagraj Police, the three attackers pretended to be journalists before shooting Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf.
- Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, convened a high-level conference shortly after the incident and commanded an investigation. Additionally, the chief minister directed the creation of a three-person judicial commission to investigate the occurrence.
