Ghaziabad News: A study to link Ghaziabad’s Namo Bharat Train (Rapid Rail) with the Noida International Airport, which is being constructed near Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, has begun. In addition to the survey, work is being done on soil testing, station layout, and track selection. Its track can be used for metro and rapid train.

NCRTC Set to Submit Comprehensive Report by End of March

The comprehensive project report is due to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) by the end of March. Rapid rail will link Ghaziabad and Noida Airport. The feasibility report has been completed by NCRTC. Ghaziabad, Greater Noida West, East, and the Yamuna Authority area will be connected by this route. The Ghaziabad RRTS Station Segregator Noida West and Pari Chowk rapid train route to Noida Airport has been approved.

Pari Chowk to Host Accessible Rapid Rail Alongside Aqua Line

The feasibility report states that the 72.2 km long corridor will have 12 stations. At Pari Chowk, Rapid Rail will be accessible in addition to Aqua Line. A 37.15 km corridor between Sector Eco Tech-5 (Kasna) and Ghaziabad will be constructed in the first phase. By 2031, it will be prepared. A 35.11 km route connecting Sector Eco Tech-6 to the airport will be constructed in the second phase. It is scheduled for completion in 2041.

Cost Estimates Unveiled

The feasibility analysis estimates that the first phase of the Ghaziabad to Kasna corridor will cost Rs 9798 crore. The airport from Kasna will cost Rs 6391 crore in the second phase. Twenty percent of the costs will be borne by the federal government and fifty percent by the state governments. YEIDA and Greater Noida Authority will pay the remaining sum.

NCRTC Officials Present Progress to Yamuna Authority Representatives

Officials from the NCRTC recently presented the work completed thus far to representatives of the Yamuna Authority. According to officials, a survey has begun in order to draft the DPR. In addition, the soil is being analysed in order to determine the positions of pillars, stations, and other structures. Based on this, the station’s layout will be determined.

NCRTC Team Works on Defining Separate Track for Rapid Rail

In addition, the track is being decided. Metro runs on its own track. The NCRTC team is gathering information for DPR. Officials from the NCRTC will now present in February. In this, representatives of authority will also provide their recommendations. After this the DPR will be submitted.
