AAP Leader Anurag Dhanda Questions Haryana Government Over Lado Lakshmi Scheme Implementation

Criticizing the Haryana government, Dhanda said that the ruling administration appears more interested in publicity than public welfare.

AAP’s National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhanda has once again made headlines for strongly raising public issues — from air pollution to women’s rights. Recently, Dhanda targeted the Haryana government over the implementation of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, alleging severe discrepancies in the disbursement of its first installment.

According to Dhanda, despite Haryana having around 1.4 crore women beneficiaries, only 3.73% of them have received the first installment under the scheme. He termed this figure a “betrayal of women’s trust”, questioning the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment.

Raising the Voice for Women’s Rights

Anurag Dhanda, known for his outspoken stand on public welfare, has been actively vocal about issues concerning women. Referring to the Lado Lakshmi scheme, he said the government’s promise of providing ₹2,100 to each woman beneficiary has largely remained unfulfilled.

Dhanda stated,

“The Haryana government must explain why only a small fraction of women have received the installment. Every eligible woman deserves the benefit that was promised to her. True empowerment comes from action, not hollow announcements.”

He further assured that he would continue to raise the voice of women until the government addresses the issue and ensures justice for all deserving beneficiaries.

Government’s Priorities Questioned

Criticizing the Haryana government, Dhanda said that the ruling administration appears more interested in publicity than public welfare.

“This government has neither the intention, nor the policy, nor the will to understand women’s struggles. They are only concerned about image building,” he remarked.

The AAP leader emphasized that such schemes must not be reduced to mere announcements and photo opportunities, but should genuinely benefit those for whom they are intended.

Dhanda’s continued advocacy reflects his commitment to social welfare and accountability, highlighting his belief that governance should prioritize people’s needs over political optics.
