Dhanda’s remarks have added fuel to the political debate in the state, especially at a time when public sentiment around welfare schemes is high.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Anurag Dhanda, known for his sharp criticism and vocal stand on public issues, has once again targeted the Haryana government. This time, Dhanda has questioned the implementation of the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana, alleging that the scheme has turned into an injustice for women across the state. Taking a direct jibe, he even referred to it as the “Thago Lakshmi Yojana.”

Dhanda Accuses Govt of Leaving Out Majority of Women

Highlighting the gaps in the scheme, Dhanda said Haryana has nearly 1.40 crore women, but the government has provided benefits to only 5 lakh beneficiaries.
He stated that the BJP had promised financial assistance for all eligible women during election campaigns, but the final execution excludes 1.35 crore women, which he called a “serious betrayal.”

According to Dhanda, this selective implementation proves that the scheme is only on paper and not meant for the larger female population as promised.

A Consistent Voice for Farmers, Youth and Women

Anurag Dhanda has been consistently raising issues related to farmers, youth and women’s rights.
Just a day earlier, he held a press conference criticizing the Haryana government for failing to provide jobs to the youth, claiming that the state must “learn from Punjab’s model of employment.”

Dhanda accused the government of being unfair to unemployed young people and now, once again, has come out strongly in support of women.

Political Heat Intensifies

Dhanda’s remarks have added fuel to the political debate in the state, especially at a time when public sentiment around welfare schemes is high. His continued criticism signals that he will keep questioning the government on policies impacting common people.
