Gurugram News: In a significant step toward smarter governance, the Gurugram administration has rolled out an AI-driven civic grievance redressal app, Raasta Fix, aimed at streamlining the reporting and resolution of civic issues across the district.
Deputy Commissioner Shri Ajay Kumar, IAS, reviewed the functioning of the app on Monday and announced that all First-Class Gazetted Officers in Gurugram will now actively use it to report real-time civic problems.
How Raasta Fix Works
The “See it. Snap it. Fix it.” model enables officers to upload on-ground observations such as:
- Potholes on roads
- Garbage accumulation
- Waterlogging
- Stray animals
- Construction & demolition (C&D) waste
- Solid waste burning
Each complaint is geo-tagged and directly shared with the concerned agencies for quick action and resolution.
Smarter, Faster Redressal
The initiative, guided by Shri Rajesh Khullar, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, is designed to improve inter-departmental coordination, reduce delays, and enhance the quality of civic services in Gurugram.
Officials believe the app will not only accelerate grievance redressal but also create a transparent feedback mechanism for monitoring accountability.
Citizen-Friendly Features
Though initially rolled out for official use, the Raasta Fix App also allows citizens to contribute by reporting civic problems in just 30 seconds:
- Select a category (pothole, garbage, etc.)
- Upload a photo
- Detect location automatically
- Submit the issue
