Gurugram News: The Haryana government has approved DLF’s proposal to construct a three-lane flyover and a three-lane underpass near Shankar Chowk in Gurugram, in a move aimed at improving traffic movement on the busy Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway corridor. The two structures are expected to cost around ₹130 crore to ₹140 crore, with DLF set to bear the entire cost.

The project will be implemented in phases, with DLF planning to construct the flyover first, followed by the underpass. Officials said the work is expected to take around one year after the project is awarded, while the exact construction schedule will be finalised after the tender process.

Gurugram: Flyover to Connect Ambience Mall With Cyber City

As part of the proposal, the three-lane flyover will connect the area near Ambience Mall with Cyber City. It will run parallel to the existing highway flyover and above the service road.

The proposed route is intended to provide direct connectivity for vehicles travelling from Ambience Mall towards Cyber City, helping them avoid traffic conflicts around Moulsari Avenue and Shankar Chowk. Vehicles will also be able to continue towards Gurugram and Jaipur.

Three-Lane Underpass to Provide Delhi Connectivity

The second component of the project is a three-lane underpass from Moulsari Avenue towards Delhi. The underpass will pass beneath the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and allow vehicles to join Delhi-bound traffic.

According to the project proposal, the arrangement is designed to reduce conflicts between different traffic movements around the busy junction and improve the flow of vehicles towards Delhi.
